Santa Fe de Antioquia
City founded in 1541 by Marshal Jorge Robledo with the name of Villa of Santa Fé, four years later it was renamed as a City of Antioquia. In the year 1584, it became the capital of Antioquia until 1826 when Medellin went on to take its place. Santa Fe de Antioquia was declared a national monument in 1960 due to its important constructions and the conservation of the colonial period architecture. I has eight impressive churches and a large number of houses from the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

Puente de Occidente
Considered one of the oldest and most beautiful bridges of the world. The construction, which took 8 years and 200 workers, begun in 1887 and was completed in 1895. It was designed and built by engineer José María Villa, a collaborator in the construction of the Brooklin bridge in New York. Puente de Occidente, with its 291 meters/ 955 feet length, communicates Santa Fe de Antioquia with Olaya, passing over the Cauca River. It was declared a national historical monument in the year 1978 and can withstand 225 tons of weight.
